Cacao Preservation Module (CPM)
CPM is a processing platform for post-harvest fermentation, drying and preservation of agricultural products — developed to help producers protect crop quality and value after harvest.
The underlying platform is not limited to cacao: the same technology is designed to process, tag and measure a range of other agricultural products, with target crops including coffee, grains (wheat, rice, maize), spices, tea, and tree nuts.
CPM's drying units can be deployed as standalone systems, separate from fermentation, and can use sealed packaging where product preservation requires it.
Patent status: patent pending — filed, not yet granted.
Where we are today
CPM is in active development, with engineering and field-trial work ongoing and R&D backing from New Zealand government trade and innovation agencies. We're working with regional partners to bring the first deployments to market.
Where it's headed
We're pursuing partnerships across Africa to bring CPM into working use, alongside continued investment in the platform's multi-crop capability.
